    Welcome toADG Therapy

You can feel better- and it starts here.

You may look like you’re holding it all together on the outside, but inside feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from carrying so much for so long. You might struggle with overthinking, anxiety, or relationship patterns that don’t seem to change — even though you’ve tried.

These patterns often come from unresolved trauma, chronic stress, or experiences where you had to stay strong for too long. Over time, your nervous system stays on high alert, making it hard to fully relax, feel in control, or feel like yourself again.

I’m Dr. Acralys Diaz-Gonzalez, a licensed mental health counselor specializing in trauma therapy and EMDR therapy in Fort Lauderdale and Cooper City. I provide a calm, supportive space to help you understand your nervous system, process what you’ve been through, and create lasting change so you can feel more grounded, confident, and at ease in your life.

My Approach

Healing doesn’t happen by forcing change or pushing through discomfort. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in helping you feel safe enough to explore what’s been shaping your reactions, emotions, and patterns. We focus on understanding your experiences with curiosity and compassion, while developing practical ways to feel more regulated, present, and steady in daily life.

Therapy here is paced intentionally. You are not rushed, judged, or expected to relive painful experiences before you’re ready. The work is thoughtful, supportive, and centered on helping you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Individual Trauma Therapy

Trauma can shape how you think, feel, and respond long after the experience has passed. It may show up as anxiety, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, self-doubt, or a persistent sense of being stuck. Individual trauma-focused therapy helps you understand these responses and begin healing in a way that feels safe and supportive.

“What once helped you survive may no longer be what you need to heal.”
